Amy Kalafa

As a writer, producer, editor and independent documentary filmmaker for over 30 years, Amy Kalafa has worked in every genre and style. Most recently, she produced and directed the independent documentary, Two Angry Moms. The film has been honored at festivals around the US, and been featured in major national media including Good Morning America, NPR, the New York Times and the cover of USA Today. Amy co-Executive Produced her own Primetime series, “Inside the Criminal Mind,” featured on Court TV’s Crime Stories. She also Executive Produced, directed, and edited (with Alex Gunuey) “From the Deep Grapevine”, a documentary about the French roots of Cajun and Creole culture that was nationally distributed on PBS. Alex Gunuey

Alex emigrated to New York from France in 1980. He spent 17 years as the chief editor for the New York bureau of France 2. His daily news reports included coverage of electoral campaigns, political and economic summits, sporting events, concerts and exhibitions. He traveled to nearly every country in the Western Hemisphere, reporting on such events as drug wars in Columbia and Peru, the deposition of Noriega in Panama, fatal mudslides in Venezuela as well as several coup attempts in Haiti. His final mission was three weeks “underground” with the Oklahoma and Montana militias in the wake of the Murrow FBI building bombing.
